  6. "Signs" is a song by the Canadian rock group Five Man Electrical Band. It was written by the band's frontman, Les Emmerson and popularized the relatively unknown band, who recorded it for their second album, Good-byes and Butterflies, in "Signs" was originally released that year as the B-side to the relatively unsuccessful single "Hello Melinda Goodbye" (#55 Canada).

The biggest hit from the album was the song “Signs”, a cover version originally from the band Five Man Electrical Band, who also had a hit with the song (Tesla’s version included a use of “fuck” not in the original version). Other songs included “Love Song” and “The Way It Is” (hits from their previous album The Great Radio.
  8. That all changed when a Boston radio station began playing an acoustic version of the Five Man Electrical Band's "Signs," that Tesla performed during a studio visit, and was flooded with positive feedback. Geffen Records wanted Tesla to release the Trocadero performance.
